GBHW Paranormal Investigation Team

Investigation report.  July 2006.

Royal Court Theatre.  Bacup Lancashire

We were invited to carry out an investigation in the Royal Court Theatre Bacup by Geoff knight.  Chairman of Bacup operatic and amateur dramatics society.

Due to reports from staff and visitors, who have witnessed what appears to be shadows around the stage and front aisle area, also shadows have been witnessed on the stairway near the bar area.  There have also been reports of a women, seen to be sitting in row J in the balcony.

Workmen have experienced their tools having been moved from where they had left them, only to find them in some other place within the building.

Another incident. Involving a toolbox.  The box had been put on a sturdy stool, was unexpectedly dislodge, scattering the tools across the stage floor

We arrived at 2130hrs, and were greeted by Geoff Knight and some of the amateur dramatic society members.  Who chatted about some of these incidents and sightings?

There were six of us who stayed in the theatre until six the next morning.

We carried out baseline tests throughout the building.  These involved temperature readings and readings with EMF (electro magnetic field) meters.  These tests were recorded and checked at regular intervals.

CCTV monitoring system and night vision cameras were used throughout the investigation.  Still shots were captured with digital cameras of different makes and sizes.

Early evening showed great prospects as light anomalies on the stage area were witnessed by all six of us.

Tests resulted in temperature fluctuations in areas where no other explanations could be found, that there could be a spiritual presence, which would explain a cold spot.

The night vision cameras did not capture anything out of the unusual.  Though the digital cameras did capture quite a lot of orbs in these areas.

These photos are not very clear due to the enormous size of the theatre, because there is very little background to focus on.  Never the less there are orbs there.

One of the team did pick up on the presence of a female whilst sitting in row J in the balcony.  Orbs were also captured at that time in this area.

The final conclusion of this investigation is that there are some spiritual or unseen phenomena present.  None of which come across as unfriendly

We will need to carry out a second investigation in the Royal Court Theatre to prove or disprove these initial findings, as this first impression indicated that it is not an empty house, we believe it has a full troop of actors.

Old actors though dead and gone still act out their best performance.

This building is a national treasure and should be preserved at all cost.

The outer crust of the theatre is only a shell protecting the inner delights.
