A night vision camera was set up in the cottage bedroom along with some trigger
objects.  This room was duly locked so no entry could be gained with out the key.
CCTV was set and rolling in No 2 bedroom.
Also four small trigger objects were set on the floor near to the bathroom entrance.  This door also was locked behind us.

                               We then left the upstairs area to carry out further investigations in the bar, and restaurant.

As the night drew into the early morning, the main group conducted a vigil in the restaurant.
Here we had some excellent reactions to questions, along with unexplainable tapping and knocking sounds from the panelled wall.  A dark shadow was seen moving across the wood panelling described as being a man wearing a wide brimmed hat, at that time a cold chill was felt within the room.

Whilst Mick and Barry sat it out in the small snug area adjoining the bar.  After some time they heard footsteps above them, as though some one was walking across the upstairs landing, Mick asked Barry if there was anyone upstairs? Barry replied no, they are all in the restaurant.
On speaking to Geoff (the landlord) the next morning about this, he confirmed that he had also heard the similar footsteps some time ago and had gone up to check for intruders, but nobody was found.

                 We all then returned to the No 1 bedroom for refreshments and to make reports on our findings up to that time.     

The door to the cottage bedroom was unlocked.  We found that the trigger objects had moved slightly off the lines, which had been drawn around them. The tape from the night video camera was saved to be examined later.

On checking the other trigger objects in No2 bedroom, these were also found to have moved slightly as witnessed by the whole group.  The CCTV was left running in that room for the rest of the duration.

An EVP recorder was set up in No1 bedroom, we closed the door and left to continue our investigations the ground floor.

Back down in the bar we held a séance with a glass, with some fascinating results. Our questioning through the glass seemed to suggest that we had contacted a young male.  Claire said she felt something close to us, a few minutes later after asking further questions through the glass Claire seemed to change her personality.  Her first response to Jean’s question was, your wrong, asked why?  The reply was it’s female.  When asked what’s your name, mind your own business was the reply (This is totally out of character for Claire to speak like this) Further questions revealed we were talking to a Martha, who was in visitation at the Skirrid Inn.  It was also revealed that they called her a witch. Her answers were short sharp and precise.  After a short time this person within Claire seemed to have left, as Claire collapsed in the chair and had to be taken out of the atmosphere into another room.

                         Once we were sure Claire was OK.  We decided to go into the smaller bar room adjoining the main bar.
As we sat there asking for any other spirits to come through, it was noticed that Gemma seemed to be drifting off. She said I’m fine but feel a bit drowsy/tired.  Another few minutes went by, and by this time we noticed that Gemma was going into, what can only be described as though dropping off to sleep.  Immediately Mick and Brian had to lift her from where she was sitting, one under each of her arms and carry her out of the room.

After some time out in the fresh air Gemma was fine.  She explained what she had felt at that time.
It was as though there was something around my neck, and was getting tighter and pulling me back toward the fireplace, which was behind her.
If you look back to our last visit in July, Claire had a similar experience, in the same room as this instance.

Now early hours of Sunday morning we decided to retire for some rest and refreshment in bedroom No 1.

The EVP recorder, now at the end of the tape, was rewound and listened to.  To our amazement there was a female voice within the tape noises, so clear saying what sounds like   “oh no no don’t hurt me”

We don’t know who is saying these words or why?  
There is nothing else relating to this voice throughout the rest of the recording.                                                             

Monday  Gemma recalls her ordeal as she has a feeling of bruising around her neck.  Otherwise she is fine.
